V70AWD Transfer box help needed
Guy I took my transfer box out of my 2004 V70 AWD and was greeted by a hole in the casing.
I am so confused about the part numbers, one says 1023875, there is one on ebay and it costs a fortune. The other part number is 30773660, Ive found quite a few and the look identical but relate to the XC90.
Is the transfer box on the XC90 the same as the V70 AWD ? If it is I can get one for 150 quid !

V70 Rdesign D5 MY12 For Sale

What has been my pride and joy since new is now up for sale 😢. Now have a company car with my job and expecting it to be delivered before the end of this month.
So one owner with full Volvo service history, in white. 54k. Manual 215hp model. Privacy rear glass, removable Volvo tow bar. Volvo floor mats. Bluetooth phone / high performance stereo. Good Michelin tyres all round. Excellent condition. You would be able to see that but for some reason photos won't upload. Last serviced and mot may this year. Been a fantastic family car and well looked after. Clay bar and waxed every year etc. Leather treated.

v50 high beam promlem
hi I can flash the high beam there is a relay sound from the passenger side foot well the lights are on as long as you hold the paddle back , but there is no on off , is there a fuse or relay or is it the paddle like old cars .thanks for any help

Had a warning message, transmission requires service..
The D from the gesr selector went to a - and stayed like that. I could drive but big delays as I pulled away...
Thinking first - oil level in gearbox?
1) what is the checking procedure, I believe I have a dip stick.
2) what oil do I use? Does it have to be volvo?

1997 V70 For Sale
Hi all not sure if anybody is interested in my '97 V70 auto but here goes.
1997 V70 for sale 174k miles I am the third owner and I have owned it for 7 years,
Good service record, cambelt/water pump etc replaced at 160k servicing in my ownership has been done by a Volvo master tech.
Mot until end of Jan 2018 with no advisaries.
Bodywork pretty good rear bumper needs tidying scuffs on the corners and scratches, usual supermarket dings etc,I used to work at a supermarket so hazards of the job.
Leather interior, electric drivers seat small amount of wear on the bolster,
Good tyres and exhaust
£500 or sensible offers.

I have just bought a 2016 S90 Inscription and it does not have a CD player can one be fitted, my dealer says no .Sorry for posting in XC90 thread but there's no S90 thread.

Double Din stereo fitting
I have a double din unit to fit to my 1998 C70 coupe. |The stereo I have got hasn't come with a cage or facia panel,apparently a lot don't these days (been a long time since I fitted a stereo_. Do you know where i can get this from couldn't see any on ebay or any general tips for fitting it in place of the old 901 unit.

Odd ticking sound ..B18
On way back home from good wood I was getting an other tick sound only noticeable at idle, not effecting the performance at all...sounds like its coming from rocker cover so guessing can shaft tick or a lazy tappet/ push rod ?

Intercooler return pipe leak.
Has anybody ever loosened and removed the intercooler oil return pipe where it secures to the underside of oil filter housing ? Mine has weeped oil for years but is geeting worse so I assume there is a rubber seal of some description up inside. I did gently attempt to loosen the securing nut but it was locked solid and I didnt want to force it. Anybody know what the seal would look like and availability.... it is my engines only leak and irritating me now!

xc90 Transmission Service Required ECM-5310 & TCM-002F
Hi All,
I am just trying to sort a problem I have with my xc90 d5 auto 2004.
If I drive it for a bit and then decelerate in 5th I get Transmission Service Required pop up followed a short while latter by a jolt as the box locks itself into 4th gear as a sort of limp home mode to protect itself from overheating. Display changes from D to -- hill starts become problematic and very slow to pull away. If you stop and turn it off and back on again then you can get back to normal operation albeit with the message in the display.
Gearbox works perfectly up until that point.
Codes from Veda are -
ECM-5310 communication error with TCM - Communication fault
TCM-002F lock-up function slipping or not engaged
If I clear the codes the 002F goes but 5310 remains.
If I pull the TCM out of its socket and replace it then I can clear 5310.
Both codes return after a drive when I get the Transmission message pop up.
So far I have cleaned the 3 solenoids in the valve body and flushed the transmission fluid. This seemed to make shifting worse but I couldn't complete the adaptions process that well due to the above fault. Then replaced the valve body with a new one, now shifts like a new car. Swapped the TCM for a known good unit. None of the above made a difference.
Don't know whether to focus on 5310 which tells me ECM and TCM have issues talking to each other on the CAN bus, I think I will pull both and try and clean the connectors and sell if I can get to the back of them. This seems unlikely to be my problem as they are sat right next to each other in a dry box.
Or focus on 002F which says there is a speed discrepancy between two sensors which should be locked together.
I think I need to try and read the codes after I get the Message but before it bangs into 4th as 002f might be a result of this harsh emergency shift.
Maybe also need to investigate the reported oil temperature as this lock down into forth is a designed feature of the box if the oil temp gets to high.
There are a number of posts on the internet for this exact fault but no one seems to have fixed it.
The oil was very dark but did not smell burnt prior to the flush. The car does have a tow bar so may have done caravan work in the past.
Any help much appreatiated

Subtle Bodykit R style or similar
Hi everyone,
My front and back bumpers have seen better days thanks to the car's previous keeper, they're at the point where to keep them right they'd almost need respraying and as the car is black , annoy me every time I look at them.
Does anyone know of a kit still being made that;s subtle and suits the S60 and would directly replace or join onto the original bumpers.
The only ones I can find are completely over the top and not representative of the car I feel and i know now the car's age is against it in terms of kits still in production.
Any alternative suggestions also welcome.

what is Volvo's interior light colour
Does anybody have any idea what the 760's standard instruments light colour because it appers that the radio is green, then the dash is whiteish, then the automatic D,N,P,R ect is a yellowish, and i just wanted a single colour scheme, so does anyone know thanks
