V70 Body/Trim: - Head light bulb upgrade???

Hi all I just got my first Volvo V70 D5 2004 on a 53 plate

I know the lights are meant to stay on constant but just wondered if I got a set of ice white upgraded bulbs would they burn out and fail to quickly due to being on all the time or do I have to buy special bulbs????
