well folks what can i say i was looking forward to doing a few tasks then cleaning the car up and some pre .M.O.T work ready to begin my journey into a rolling restro pmsl never that easy is it and me being me i hate driving summit or doing a job to yet again later on re doit all over again so i have bitten the bullet and decided to go for it yup its been having welding work done past two three weeks over the weekends i had to tackle the chassis rails , A-panel down a side and the front floor pans , also i cleaned the filler off the sills and arch corners feck i hate people that use lots and lots of filler they should charge £200 a pot for filler then grease monkeys doing bodywork would not use so much of the dam stuff for example
one monkey had screwed yes screwed a brand new outrigger to the passengers side thats gone in the metal bin now and two brand new outroggers fitted to each side with welds this time as the idiot had buttered it up with filler after screwing the said out rigger onto the car if i get me hands on the person that did that i will screw his neck to a plank see how he likes it lol
also a wee dent scrap down the drivers side well my workshop now looks like its had a snow storm by the pictures you only see half of what i have floating around in there so i will be updating this as and when things get done im hoping for a quick turn around but due to other projects like my estate coming back from the bodyshop .. ( which this one will go in its place on pickup ) i will give a longer time frame reckon after 4-7 weeks i should have it back at my workshop with its new coat on and new seals fitted with new windscreen ;)
the boot area is dreadful another reason i was aiming for a full restro at this point ,
i will ad a bunch of photos for you to see i had gone at this half hearted to start as dad was like no hold off and i was like no i gotta go for it and get it outta the way now so no more messing its time for action i think ....
kind regards
robert
